Academic Learning Center - Test Administration
Students from institutions like Indiana State, Brigham Young, Berkeley, Golden Gate University, Harvard, and others can arrange to take their exams at the Hartnell College (HC) Academic Learning Center. The college charges a $25 fee to administer exams from other institutions; however, this fee does not apply to exams from other California community colleges or exams taken by HC students or alumni.
Assessment Exams/College Placements are available through our STAAR* Assessment Center at (831) 759-6054 or (831) 755-6820. Students taking online courses at Hartnell can visit the Tutorial Center in the Annex or the Computer lab (CAB 211) to have exams administered(see class schedule for hours).

Exam Administration Information:
Testing can be arranged through the Learning Center by appointment M -F between 9am and 5pm. (Testing on weekends can sometimes be arranged through our Assessment Center, call (831) 759-6054 or (831) 755-6820 for more information) The coordinator's office is located in the Annex (the Old library building near the center of campus) , enter through the main doors and the office is the first one on your right. Please bring a valid picture ID like a student ID or a driver’s license. Exams may be monitored by video.
Parking and Directions:
Parking on campus is $1 per day, four quarters; street parking is free.
Fees:
The college charges a $25 testing fee (per appointment, e.g. one or more exams at the same time for $25) that can be paid by cash, exact change please, or check at the time of the exam or in advance if you need a receipt. If you pay in advance, tell the cashier that Frank Henderson will provide the test administration document after you take the exam. The Cashier's Window is located in the first floor lobby of the CALL building. Reminder: fees are not charged for exams from other California community colleges or exams taken by HC students or alumni.
