Math Lab - Software / Resources

Software Available on the Math Lab's Computers
ALEKS (Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Spaces) - This web-based learning tool is used by Math 121 (Elementary Algebra) and Math 123 (Intermediate Algebra) students in the Math Lab. The ALEKS sign-on page is located here. Note: You must purchase an ALEKS access code in order to use ALEKS.

Technical Math Tutorial Software - This software is designed to support the Math 151 textbook Mathematics for the Trades by Carman and Saunders, 6th edition.

StatDisk 9.5 - This statistical software application is designed for use with the Math 13 textbook Elementary Statistics by Triola, 9th edition.

Geometer's Sketchpad 4.04 - This geometry software application helps you make drawings and animations of geometrical objects. You can learn more about Geometer's Sketchpad here.

Maple 7.00 - This powerful Computer Algebra System (CAS) allows mathematical exploration at all levels. You can learn more about Maple here.

Matlab 6.5 - This is a linear algebra / matrix manipulation program that allows scientific visualization.

Pre-Algebra Tutorial Videos - This video set follows the Math 201 textbook Prealgebra by McKeague. Videos for both the 4th and 5th edition of this text are available.

Beginning Algebra Tutorial Videos - This video set follows the Math 121 textbook Beginning Algebra by McKeague. Videos for both the 5th and 6th edition of this text are available. Note: While the McKeague text is no longer used at Hartnell, these videos are still a useful resource.

Trigonometry Tutorial Videos - These videos follow the Math 24 textbook Trigonometry by McKeague, 4th edition.

Precalculus Tutorial Videos - These videos follow the Math 25 textbook Precalculus by Stewart, Redlin, and Watson, 4th edition.
