Before submitting someone for the Hartnell College Athletics Hall of Fame please make sure they meet the following criteria:
If a Player:
If a Coach:
If a Significant Contributor:
If a Player:
- The candidate must have exhibited outstanding athletic success, having achieved the highest level of accomplishments in their sport.
- The candidate must have exhibited outstanding qualities of leadership, citizenship, and academic performance.
- A minimum of ten (10) years shall have elapsed since the completion of competition on which the award is based.
- The candidate must have exhibited outstanding qualities of leadership, citizenship, and academic performance.

If a Coach:
- The candidate must have had a positive impact and made a significant contribution to the college athletic programs.
- The candidate must have engaged in service to the community.
- The candidate must have exhibited excellence as a Professional.
- A minimum of five (5) years shall have elapsed since the completion of service on which the award is based.
- The candidate must have engaged in service to the community.
- The candidate must have exhibited excellence as a Professional.
- A minimum of five (5) years shall have elapsed since the completion of service on which the award is based.
If a Significant Contributor:
- Any individual, couple, group, or organization that has made a significant contribution to Hartnell College Athletics.
- The candidate must have demonstrated efforts to improve/enhance the quality of the athletic programs.
- The candidate must have demonstrated an active involvement in their community pertaining to the relationship between the college, its sports programs and the community.
