Max Matsuhara – Offensive Line

Coach Matsuhara enters his 7th season as the offensive line coach.  “Coach Max” has done a terrific job teaching the offensive linemen technique and scheme and he is highly respected by his current and former students of the game. In addition to his service as a football coach he was on staff with the track program for 6 years.  Prior to working at Hartnell he worked at North Salinas H.S. for 32 years as a football coach.  During that time he coached North Salinas track & field for 15 seasons.  Coach Matsuhara earned his Bachelor Degree from Cal State Hayward and attended Hartnell College.  He was a football player at both colleges.  Max has 6 siblings, 1 brother and 5 sisters.   He has been a well known coach in our community for many years.
