About the Business Assistance Center

The Mission of the Business Assistance Center at Hartnell College is to be the premier provider of business and economic development services and training. We provide training solutions aimed at improving the management and stability of regional businesses which lead to increased number of new and retained jobs, sales, and investment.  
We assist businesses and industry sectors to retain, or expand their businesses, and provide quality management and technical assistance.  This results in strengthening the local economy, creating sustainable economic growth, and increasing prosperity and quality of life.

The Business Assistance Center at Hartnell College collaborates, shares resources, and partners with city & government agencies, Chambers of Commerce, economic development organizations, One-Stop Career Centers, re-development agencies, small business development organizations, and organizations that represent and serve special emphasis groups. We take a leadership role in generating business expansion, creation, and retention by combining these resources. As training needs are identified, the center can deliver the training at your site or on the Hartnell College campus.

The Business Assistance Center at Hartnell College is a valuable resource for the business communities in Monterey, San Benito, Santa Cruz, and South Santa Clara counties.  We are funded by and the Chancellor’s Office of the California Community Colleges.
