About our Partners
At Hartnell College, we know it is the student for whom we work. We always try to listen closely to our students and work to provide new services and/or enhance current services to make the educational process as smooth as possible. We also listen to our students and community members to determine which programs are most in demand and what educational and career goals are most sought after.
Students come to Hartnell for many reasons: some come to obtain an associate degree, some to obtain or update vocational skills, and others plan to transfer to a four-year college or to a university. As a California community college, we have the responsibility to offer quality education to anyone who can benefit from instruction.
The Workforce Development Program at Hartnell College is dedicated to providing quality training and educational services necessary to develop a more efficient local workforce and to enhance the quality of life of the District’s residents. To complete this mission the Center provides a number of services for business, industry, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies such as: short-term vocational training; classes for the business and professional community, and customized contract education programs taught at company sites.
· Customized work force training courses are provided to business clients. Typically on-site, these programs contribute to the economic development of the employer and the region. Providing cost-effective, high quality training to company employees not only increases the skills of the individual employees, but makes the company more competitive.
· Vocational programs from 6-weeks to 12 months are offered for career development and professional training. Programs have included Water Technology Training, Supervisory & Leadership Academies, Medical Coding, Pharmacy Technician, Human Resource Management, Mechanical Technician, Paralegal and others.
We complement and support the Career & Economic Development Center and other Hartnell programs and services.
