Trustee Vacancy in District 5: Application Information for Appointment -
DEADLINE EXTENDED TO AUGUST 1, 2008, 4:00 P.M.
The Hartnell Community College Board of Trustees is announcing a new deadline of Friday, August 1, 2008 by 4 p.m. for submitting District 5 candidate applications. The date has been extended due to the placement of an erroneous District map on the College's website that has caused confusion for potential candidates.
Applicants for the District 5 vacancy are urged to check the map and to confirm their eligibility with the Monterey County Elections Department.
Due to a resignation from the Board of Trustees that becomes effective on August 6 because the current Trustee is moving out of the District, the Hartnell College Board of Trustees will make an appointment to fill the Trustee position for District 5, which includes Central Salinas and surrounding areas.
