Pursuant to Education Code Sections 5019.5 et seq, and 72022, the Governing Board of the Hartnell College District shall provide for the election of Trustees by Trustee Areas. The election of an elector, residing in and registered to vote in the trustee area he/she seeks to represent, shall be only by the registered voters of the same trustee area.

Effective February 4, 1992, the trustee areas shall be:

3	Southwest Salinas/Toro
4	East Salinas
5	Central Salinas
6	Central County
7	South County

Maps showing the respective trustee area boundaries are on file at the office of the Monterey County Superintendent of Schools, at the Hartnell College Business Office and at the Monterey County Registrar of Voters.
