First Psychology Research Symposium this week The first Psychology Research Symposium will be held in the Office of Student Life at Hartnell College. The purpose of the Psychology Research Symposium is to provide psychology students with a venue to present their research projects and results to the Hartnell College Community. The event is being hosted by the Psychology Club along with Instructor Edelen, and the ASHC.

Nineteen research projects will be displayed and available for viewing December 5, 2016 through December 8, 2016.

Oral presentations of the experimental findings will take place in the Office of Student Life at the following times:

Monday, December 5, 4:00- 5:15 p.m.

Tuesday, December 6, 12:30 - 1:45 p.m.

Wednesday, December 7, 4:00 - 5:15 p.m.

Thursday, December 8, 12:30 - 1:45 p.m.

Some of the experiments conducted were measuring effects of socioeconomic status and social media on academic success, having a close family member incarcerated, bystander effect, perceptions of public breastfeeding, gender differences in experiences of stress, political psychology, stigmatization of vulnerable groups, and more!
