You have made a very important decision to achieve your career and life goals by continuing your education at Hartnell College. This online course is designed for students who are interested in a different kind of learning experience. It is a do-it-yourself College Orientation, meeting at your computer and at your convenience. Class activities and assignments take place on your illuminated screen. It is a self-paced course, requiring students to be responsible and to work independently. If these factors appeal to you and if you are a self-motivated learner, this course is for you.

Completion of orientation is your ticket to Early registration and college success. Orientation is mandatory for all new Hartnell College students. There are several ways to complete this requirement:

1. Complete the counseling 21 internet course located in these pages. This course can be completed from the convenience of your home, school, or office. See the college schedule of classes to enroll
OR
2. Complete an on-campus lecture course. See the college schedule of classes to enroll

3. Complete and pass the Counseling 21 Challenge Exam . Students who successfully pass the exam (70% or better) meet this requirement.
