Top Careers
Executive/administrative/managerial positions
These will be hot fields because a large number of jobs in
the future will require higher education. Dead-end jobs,
such as sweepers and shelf-stockers, will be the lowest tier
of the employment market. Mid-range jobs that will disappear
include cashiers and jobs that are often thought of as a
second step in a career.

Professionals
High marks go to accounting and marketing as promising
fields.

Expert-systems development
Look toward jobs in technical support and personnel
systems.

Marketing and sales professionals
With more time on their hands, people will need to be
informed of their free-time opportunity as well as
conveniences to make their lives easier.

Service positions
Find a niche in business services, health services, retail,
educational, or social services.

Advisors/Counselors
Plentiful jobs will be available in geriatrics, motivation,
and stress management.

Computer-related graphic arts positions
Positions will include page designer and webmaster.

Teachers
Demand will rise, especially in adult education.
