SUMS

I have been very fortunate to work at Hartnell for the past 6 years. I enjoy all aspects of my job.

This semester I am teaching PreCalculus and Algebra.

Besides teach mathematics, this semester I have had the opportunity to serve our students in other capacities:

SUMS-Summer Undergraduate Math & Science

I have been working with MESA Director Shannon McCann helping with recruitment and selection of our newest crew of SUMS students. Check out the students activities.

STEM Scholarship Program.

I am the Principal Investigator for the National Science Foundation grant that will fund one hundred $5000 for Hartnell College students majoring in the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). John Sword and Joe Welch are the members of our team.

Pod Leader: Math, Science & Engineering Division

I am also serving our division as Pod Leader. In this capacity, I have had the opportunity to help with the production of the Fall 2010 schedule of classes as well as assist students in various issues.
