Sad Story
Stores are such
Flirts -
Their neon eyes
Wink brazenly.
Stores are such
Tyrants -
Their shelves are
Filled like medals
On a general's chest.
Stores are such
Beggars -
Sale prices plead
For your charity.
The doors of all
The stores are open.
People revolve
Through them and
Then revolve back
To where they were,
But holding
Packages of things.
