The primary purpose of the Institutional Research & Planning (IR & P) Office is to provide useful, accurate and timely information to Hartnell College decision makers. In addition, the IR&P Office is responsible for facilitating the college's planning process.

The IR & P Office vigorously supports the importance that the President/Superintendent places upon data based decision making. Informed decisions are best made using information supported by current research.

Within the limits of available resources, the IR & P staff strive to meet the information needs of Hartnell College employees and students, as well as those of accrediting associations and external agencies. Our goal is to provide the highest quality service to our customers.
