Hartnell College Core Values

The development process of Hartnell College 's Core Values Statements spanned from March to November of 2003.  During March, approximately 50 persons representing students, faculty, classified staff, managers, and the external community participated in a one-half day meeting to draft core values statements for Hartnell College .  The process began with each of the five constituent groups meeting separately to "brainstorm" ideas of values to be considered.  Then, the entire group met as a whole to reach consensus on a draft of core values, which were put into core values statements.  Feedback on the draft version of the core values were collected from the campus community between March and November.

The final draft proceeded through the formal shared governance review and adoption process.  The Core Values Statements were finalized and adopted in November 2003 by the Hartnell College Board of Trustees.
