Assignment 10
For this assignment, go to the Hands-on exercises at the end of chapter 8 in the Internet Effectively textbook.
Complete hands-on Exercises 1 and 2. Once you have created these two new Web pages, publish them to the same place where you have published your previous Web pages. Post the web addresses of your pages in this week's online discussion forum.
Instructions:
- Use CoffeeCup HTML Editor, or another programming text editor of your choice to create the Web page illustrated in Figure 8.56 in chapter 8 of your textbook.
- For the title, Hiking Safety, use Heading 1 formatting, color #800080.
- The sentence Hiking is a wonderful form of exercise! is formatted italic.
- The second paragraph is colored red.
- The sentence Here are some useful hiking safety links: is underlined.
- Find a Web page for First Aid, and another for Hiking Trails and use the URLs to create remote links.
- The links and image are centered horizontally on the page.
- The image you will include is called hikers.jpg.
- Name your page hikingsafety.htm.
For your second Web Page:
- Create the Web page shown in Figure 8.57 in chapter 8 of your textbook. Use NVU or another HTML editor of your choice.
- The title Park Animals is formatted as Heading 1, color CC6600.
- The sentence Please do not feed the animals! is formatted as bold and italic, colored red.
- The list and image are in a table that is 1 row and 2 columns.
- The list title Animals in the park: is formatted as Heading 2.
- The table is 100% width, border 1 pixel.
- The image is waterfallsbeach.jpg.
- The title Useful Links is formatted as Heading 2.
- For the unordered set of links, find a Web page for Wildlife conservation and another for Moose and use the URLs to create remote links.
- Name this file parkanimals.htm.
Publish your two new pages to the web, then post the web addresses of your pages in this week's online discussion forum.
