The Project Management Institute (PMI)

The Project Management Institute (PMI) for Hartnell STEM Interns is a training program aimed at infusing project management training into early research experiences for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) students at Hartnell Community College. The academy consists of three phases of student participation: the Internship Orientation Workshop, the Reflective Research Discussions, and the Research Symposium.
Internship Orientation Workshop: The Internship Orientation Workshop will be held on a Tuesday, June 5th and will serve as an introduction to Project Management. It will also help establish a strong working relationship among the summer cohort of Hartnell STEM interns.
Reflective Research Discussions: The Reflective Research Discussions will continue throughout the summer and will help the Hartnell STEM interns remain connected as a group and the Hartnell faculty and staff remain connected to the interns.
Research Symposium: The Research Symposium will be held early in September and will serve as a venue for the summer cohort of Hartnell STEM interns to present their work in a professional manner to each other and to representatives from Hartnell College, grant funding representatives, local media and industry and associated research institutions.
