The 12th Annual Black and White Gala for Arts was a beautiful event this year. The festivities took place on Saturday, November 18, 2017 in the STEM Center and Mainstage.  More than 400 attendees gathered to celebrate the arts and contribute to its continuous success at Hartnell College.

The strolling dinner was a hit with lots of food items to choose from, a variety of refreshments kept everyone engaged, plus the popular silent auction with items that led some into a bidding war. Once again, a stunning ring valued at $3,400 was out for grabs as the raffle feature of the night. The winner of the ring was Kim Adams (right) – the ring fit her perfectly.

As part of the Gala for the Arts, we moved to Mainstage for the featured presentation of ‘Young Frankenstein.’ On stage, we recognized the Chair of the Council for the Arts, Nick Pasculli and Chairs of the Gala for the Arts Committee, Dotti Massey, Linda Gin, and Pam Darling.

Students Jonathan Perez and Briana Sandoval spoke about the ways in which theater has changed and enhanced their lives.

An event like this takes a lot of coordination and leadership. The Gala for the Arts committee members, the Hartnell College Foundation, and the Board of Trustees all stood to be recognized.

Trustees Manuel Osorio, Patricia Donohue, Erica Padilla-Chavez, and Candi DePauw were in attendance.

It was a great evening to enjoy among friends in support of the arts. We thank you and all of our sponsors for the undivided support of Hartnell and our programs.
