Late-start classes provide students with more possibilities

SALINAS, Calif. – The Hartnell Community College District Office of Academic Affairs has opened dozens of late-start classes for spring 2017 semester to deepen and broaden our reach in support of enrollment. All classes in the attachment can be used to meet General Education (GE) requirements. The major start dates are:

  • Start Dates: Week of January 30 to February 4, 2017

    • Last week to add: this week!

  • Start Dates: Week of March 20-27, 2017

    • Last week to add March 27 to April 5, 2017

These stepping-stones accommodate students who miss the beginning of the semester because of life complexities, or for other reasons. Hartnell is also committed to assist students who are already enrolled, and need other courses.  Some students who had their schedule modified after the semester started will find these alternative start dates beneficial in their journey to complete the individual education plan.

This structured late-start model serves as a well defined alternative gateway and pathway for students whereby promoting access, success, and accelerated completion.

To register for late-start classes, students should go to www.hartnell.edu/open-sections or log in to PAWS account. For questions about what classes to take, make an appointment with a counselor.
