On Saturday, January 28, 2017, the Men's Institute for Leadership and Education (MILE) Program hosted a quarterly workshop and meeting at Hartnell College. Influential male leaders from throughout Monterey County gathered to deliver an inspirational and informative workshop for the 2016-17 cohort of MILE scholars. A panel of professional men from local industries such as Agriculture, Finance, and Education shared information and advice to help the scholars succeed in their careers and personal lives. The panelists had a profound impact on the scholars as they explored topics such as masculinity, fatherhood, and servant leadership. The workshop was followed by a networking lunch and a facilitated mentoring session in which scholars reviewed their SMART goals with their mentors and evaluated their progress.
