Hartnell College to Hold Vendor Conference for Upcoming Construction Projects

Hartnell College is looking for vendors who can provide commodities, services and materials for upcoming construction projects on campus.

College officials will provide information on construction needs and timelines at a vendor conference planned for Friday, April 2, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. in Steinbeck Hall of the College Center.

Peter Lucido, Hartnell's director of purchasing, said he and his staff also will be looking for information from vendors, such as their product lines, services and capabilities.

"I urge interested vendors to submit their company's portfolio and any questions they have before April 2 so that we can prepare answers before the conference," he said.

Thanks to the 2002 passage of a $131 bond measure and other state funds Hartnell will undergo a major facelift during the next several years, according to Lucido. He said there are a variety of construction projects, including a new two-story Learning Resource Center (library), a three-level parking structure, renovated buildings, upgraded technology systems, and updated safety equipment.
