By proclamation of the mayor at April 8th’s City Council meeting, the week of April 7th will be proclaimed “Hartnell College Student Nurses Week” in Salinas.
To celebrate the week, student nurses are holding two special events. On Wednesday, April 9, students will host their second annual Nursing Job Fair. Prospective employers will staff booths to let graduating students from Hartnell’s RN and VN programs know about the professional opportunities they offer. Nursing students will have an opportunity to meet with potential employers and attend professionally-oriented 10-minute presentations on career opportunities, interview skills, resume writing, and the profession of nursing.
The job fair will be in Professional Building 400, rooms 314 and 319, of the Natividad Campus at 1441 Constitution Boulevard in Salinas from 1 to 5 p.m.
On Friday, April 11, the Nursing Program will host an Open House from 4 to 7 p.m. for anyone interested in the nursing program or a career in nursing. The Open House will be hosted by current nursing students, and nursing faculty will be on hand to answer questions about the program and the profession of nursing and to provide a tour of the facility. The Open House will be at the Natividad campus at 1441 Constitution Bouldvard, Professional Building 400, third floor.
