As co-owner of Green Rubber Kennedy Ag, he expanded the business into one of the strongest industrial and agricultural retailers in Central California and Arizona. He has served in many civic leadership roles, including the presidency of the Salinas Rotary and as a board member of the National Steinbeck Center and Relay for Life. He currently serves on one of Hartnell’s agriculture advisory committees.
This will be the last graduation to be presided over by Dr. Edward J. Valeau, president and superintendent of Hartnell College for the last 12 years. He will retire on June 30.
