Hartnell College Tribute to the Community BBQ

The entire community is invited to join Hartnell Superintendent/President Phoebe K. Helm at a Free Family Barbecue & Tribute to the Community on Saturday, September 6, from noon to 2 p.m.

The program will include a free barbecue, free Planetarium shows, music by the Hartnell College Jazz Band, introductions to the Hartnell fall sports teams, and a State of the College address by the newly installed superintendent/president, Dr. Phoebe K. Helm.

The Kid’s Fun Zone will include a bounce house, youth soccer fun, and craft activities. Continuous free Planetarium shows will be running through the afternoon, and information about Hartnell College’s offerings and programs will be available to families and students.

Following the festivities, the Panther football team will kick off its season against Mendocino at Salinas High School stadium at 3 p.m. Free tickets to the game will be given to everyone at the BBQ.

The event is free and open to the public. Free parking is available on campus.
