Meet the candidates for the Hartnell College Board of Trustees at a community forum on Tuesday evening, October 2, at the Main Stage Theater, room 104 of the Performing Arts Center, on Hartnell’s main campus in Salinas. The forum will begin promptly at 5:45 p.m. and run until 8 p.m.
All 12 candidates for the four board seats have been invited to participate in the forum to introduce themselves to the voters and field questions from the audience. The League of Women Voters of the Salinas Valley will sponsor this forum and provide a moderator for the evening. The event is co-sponsored by several campus groups, including the Hartnell College Political Science Club.
Trustee elections will be held in Community College Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4 in the November elections. Hartnell has a seven-member board, each elected from a particular geographic area. Trustees serve a term of four years.
Parking will be available in both lots on Alisal Street and the parking structure on Central Avenue. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact Terri Pyer, 831-755-6858.
