Hartnell College speech students will hold a pancake breakfast on Saturday morning, December 6, from 8 to 10 a.m. at Applebee’s restaurant on Davis Road in Salinas to benefit Meals on Wheels.

Tickets for the breakfast, which includes a stack of pancakes and a drink, are $7 each.

The students are members of a speech communications class that have been challenged to organize a fundraiser for a local charity. This group, calling themselves Sea of Faces, has selected Meals on Wheels. This is the second food-related event in the group’s fundraising efforts.

Meals on Wheels is a non-profit organization that makes and delivers affordable, nutritious meals to homebound, elderly, or disabled residents who might otherwise find it difficult to provide meals for themselves.
