The Hartnell College Board of Trustees elected officers for 2004 at last week's meeting.
Mark Dierolf, a member of the college's governing board since 1993, was elected president. Dierolf, who represents the college's District 5, also served as president in 2000.
Brad Rice, who represents District 7, was elected vice president. He had been on the board since 1997.
Edward J. Valeau, Hartnell's president, was reelected board secretary.
Stephen McShane (District 1), a new trustee, was elected the district's representative to Sunrise House, a youth/family counseling and crisis center in Salinas.
Other members of the board of trustees are William Freeman (District 2), Aaron Johnson (District 3), John Martinez (District 6), and Berna Maya (District 4).
The student trustee is Sharolyn Robinson, who is a pre-nursing major at Hartnell.
Board meetings for 2004 are scheduled for the first Tuesday on each month in the board room (C-112), located in the Classroom/Administration Building (CAB). Meetings are open to the public.
