SALINAS – The Salinas Adult
School Parent Center and MCOE's Early Start Program will be hosting a week-long open house for the
public to attend the many different classes offered through the Parent Center
for free! The Parent Center is open Monday -

Day: 3:00 p.m.

can participate in making Mosaic tiles to celebrate their unique cultures and
heritages. Finished tiles will be

SALINAS – Hartnell College Preschool Enrollment: Start of priority enrollment for the 2005/06 school
year. Children must be three years old by Dec. 2, 2005 to enroll. Free preschool
is available for income eligible families and is open to the entire community.

SALINAS – Family Literacy Night: 6:00
p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Come watch story books come alive as the Salinas Public
Library, Alisal Community Healthy Start Family Resource Center, and Women's
Crisis Center host a night for young children and their families focused on
literacy. Children can listen to a story
and complete a craft project with their families. A free book will be provided to every child
age 0-5 who attends the event. Family
Literacy Night will take place at the Alisal Community Healthy Start Family

Over 30 local agencies will be present
to educate the community about services available in South County and will be
providing fun activities for families. A special section for children
will be available in celebration of Week of the Young Child. South County
Regional Health Partners, Inc. will also debut their new services through the
School Readiness Program offered in King City, San Ardo and San Lucas to help
children ages 0-5 get ready for kindergarten. Salinas Valley Fair Grounds, 625 Division, King City.
