Hartnell college has teamed up with Google to provide email accounts to all students enrolled at the college. In addition to Gmail, you also have access to Google Sites, Google Chat, Google Calendar, and Google Docs.

Sometimes you need the convenience and flexibility of online classes. We understand. Distance Education at Hartnell College is designed to be interactive, engaging, and best of all teaches you real life skills in addition to class content. 

NetTutor Online Tutoring (available in Canvas)

Hartnell College is part of a statewide Online Education Initiative (OEI) and is one of the colleges piloting online tutoring! Hartnell students enrolled in any online or hybrid class have the opportunity to receive free online tutoring. Look for the "NetTutor" button in your online class. ALEKS is an adaptive, online learning program that is proven to significantly raise grades, retention, and pass rates at higher education institutions around the world. Reading Plus - Introduction Video (Reading Plus is only available until June 2017)
Reading Plus begins with an assessment that measures a student’s reading capacity as well as his or her reading efficiency and motivation for reading. This allows for personalized and dynamically adjusted instruction that encourages independence, broadens interests, and builds knowledge.
