    One country that was featured during National Heritage Month was El Salvador. Students were educated about the culture of El Salvador. They were even able to taste a traditional El Salvadorian meal for free called Pupusas.

  • Breast Cancer Awareness Month

    October is the month for students to learn more about Breast Cancer awareness. Many different clubs participated in this event by providing information, games and support for loved ones that have been affected by this form of cancer.

  • Club Participation in Community Wide Events

    The Theater, Arts, Cinema Team was one of the clubs that provided games and prizes during one of our community wide events like Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All proceeds were donated to our local American Cancer Society in Salinas.

    The Spanish club participated in the Breast Cancer Awareness event by providing Agua Frescas and nachos. All proceeds went to the American Cancer Society in Salinas.

  • Family Pumpkin Patch Event

    The Inter-Club Council (ICC) held an evening event for students and their children to help celebrate Halloween.  Over 150 pumpkins were given away that day to any children who were in need of one all for FREE!!!

    The Spanish Club took 1st place in the Club Altar contest that was held in the Office of Student Life and hosted by ICC. A sizable award was given to the club for all club members to enjoy!

    Students were invited into the Office of Student Life to participate in a sugar skull contest to celebrate The Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos).

    During the Spring Semester, the Inter-Club Council (ICC) held it's annual Spring Carnival where students were able to enjoy food, games, and attractions all for free!

    El Club de Espanol, MECHA and the Paw-tery Club hosted the Cinco de Mayo Event in the Office of Student Life for 2018. Students were able learn more about the culture of Mexico with art workshops. They also enjoyed an authentic Mexican meal and played games for free!

Clubs and Organizations : Find out what kind of clubs and organizations Hartnell College has to offer students. If you don't see a club that you are interested in, start one! We can help you get your club up and running for success. All we need from you is the desire to make a difference in our community through an Official Hartnell club.
Reserve ASHC Conference Room C101: Request access for a club/department meeting to be held in this room. (Note: ASHC reserves the right to re-locate any meeting that has been reserved in the event that it is needed.)
Arts and Entertainment: Western Stage and ASHC have partnered up and are able to offer two (2) free tickets to any of the "Main Stage" performances with your valid Student ID card. (Note: One (1) free ticket can be issued for any "Studio Theatre" performance at the Box office during normal businesss hours. 
 
Calculator Rental Program: Download and print the semester's application to rent a TI-84+ scientific calculator. ASHC has purchased over 100 calculators for students who are taking a Math course where it is required to have. (Note:Must have valid Student ID, application completed, schedule verified, and $20 cash or check only.)
Game Center (Rules and Guidelines): Relieve some stress and visit our Game Center in the Student Lounge for a couple of hours. (Note: Please bring any games or additional controllers if needed.)
