course will feature separate English & Spanish language sections
Course fee includes materials and meals during the class.
Presenters from the Fresh Process Industry, grower associations
and public agencies will be featured.
The course is a program of the Agricultural Business and
Technology Institute at Hartnell College and is co-sponsored
by the Monterey Co Farm Bureau, Grower-Shipper Assn,
Hartnell Foundation, and the Western Growers Association.
Dates: August 28-29, 2008, 8am - 4 pm both days
Location: Steinbeck Hall, Hartnell College
Fee: $159/person
The course will be offered in separate English and Spanish language sections
- registrants need to enroll in one of these. Course fees cover all course materials,
a continential breakfast and lunch each day of the class.
We will apply for 6 ½ PCA and QA CE hours.

“Value-Added” Operations:Management Training Program
This (bilingual) program is designed to provide
instruction and training for new and existing
supervisors in the Manufacturing Operations
environment. The objective of the course is to
teach supervisors how to develop and motivate
“High Performance” work teams in a dynamic
operating environment.
Participants with a limited command of the English
language are encouraged to attend.

Intro to Hydraulics & Mechanics
Welcome to our new introductory class to
Hydraulics and Mechanics. Get a thorough
overview of general mechanical concepts and
basic hydraulics. Learn problem solving and
troubleshooting techniques along with a wide
variety of other topics, to include:
• Hydraulic systems, cylinders, motors, valves,
pumps, bearing, & seals.
• Proper installation and correct sizing of hoses,
piping, and fittings.
• Types of lubrication and greases used in
industry
• Basic symbols
• Basic parts and materials used in mechanics
