Bernard R. Weiss; Biography

Bernard R. Weiss is the Statewide Director for International Trade Development for the California Community College Economic & Workforce Development Program (www.cccewd.net). He is also a permanent founding member of the Board of Directors of the San Diego World Trade Center and is on the Board of Governors of the North American Small Business & International Trade Educators (NASBITE) and the California Trade Education Center (CTEC) of the California Council on International Trade. Mr. Weiss is an acknowledged expert in International E-commerce and International marketing and has presented seminars and taught international business courses at several educational institutions and World Trade Centers throughout the U.S. Mr. Weiss has over 30 years experience in multi-industry international operations, marketing, finance and strategic planning. Bernie Weiss began his career as an Economic Analyst for the U.S. State Department (USAID), in Afghanistan and then moved to Washington, D.C., where he worked for a number of international corporations. Mr. Weiss is a graduate of New York University with Honors in Economics. He received his Master's Degree in International Economics from the Maxwell Graduate School at Syracuse University. He has been the recipient of several scholarships, including a Ford Foundation Fellowship, and has been elected to several honor societies while attending universities.
