Strategic Planning

Hartnell College's Strategic Plan 2013-2018 was approved by the governing board on October 1, 2013. The board established six institutional priorities, including:

  1. Student Access
  2. Student Success
  3. Employee diversity and Development
  4. Effective Utilization of Resources
  5. Innovation and Relevance for Educational Programs and Services
  6. Partnerships with Industry, Business, Agencies, and Education

In 2017-18, Hartnell College launched the process for developing its next plan, Strategic Plan 2019-2024. At its meeting on August 1, 2017, rather than starting with institutional priorities, the governing board adopted a set of focused outcomes that the district seeks to improve over the course of the plan's implementation. These outcomes include:

  1. Completion of Degrees and Certificates
  2. Time and Units to Degree Completion
  3. Transfer to Four-Year Institutions
  4. Student Employment Following Training or Degree/Certificate Completion
