Two of the overall goals of this grant are (1) Improve and modernize student assessment processes and access to tracking data and (2)Implement and institutionalize data-based decision-making throughout each institution.

In an effort to accomplish MISA is looking at the process a student follows from first contact and registration to student goal attainment.

MISA will conduct Process Mapping of Student flow in student services to determine where we have bottlenecks and other opportunities to improve the processes. They will also conduct interviews and focus groups of all relevant players to identify barriers to student achievement.

We need to look at the complete process and where the disconnects are as well as recommended process improvements.

We will begin to track a cohort of 250 students to check changes to the system against the students ability to reach their goals.  Initial report is attached as a PowerPoint “Preliminary Findings”

With action items to be developed and tracked.
