Hartnell celebrates the academic achievement of students in honor roll

SALINAS, Calif. – Hartnell Community College District is happy and proud to announce the names of the 1,459 students who made it into the President’s Honor Roll and the Dean’s List for fall 2016.

Hartnell College named 710 students to its Dean’s List and 749 students to the President’s Honor Roll for the fall 2015 semester. Congratulations to this exemplary group of students!

“The students on these honor lists have demonstrated grit and resilience,” expressed Superintendent/President, Dr. Willard Lewallen. “They have distinguished themselves by demonstrating the highest levels of academic performance.”

In order to be in the President’s Honor Roll or the Dean’s List, students must meet certain criteria.  Students must be enrolled in at least 12 units.   The maximum grade point average (GPA) per semester is a 4.0.  The GPA for each category had to be within the following ranges:

  • Dean’s List students earned a grade point average between 3.0 and 3.49

  • President’s Honor Roll students earned a grade point average between 3.5 and 4.0

These lists exemplify the commitment the students have towards their educational goals and the dedication bestowed upon them by the college employees who have student success as the number one priority.

“These students are a source of tremendous pride for everyone at Hartnell, for their families, and for our communities,” added Dr. Lewallen.

The Dean’s list and President Honor Roll list are attached.  A one-page ad will appear in The Salinas Californian on Saturday, March 11, 2017.
