KSBW-TV sports anchor Dennis Lehnen will emcee the ceremonies that will feature Salinas City Council member Janet Barnes; District 1 Supervisor Fernando Armenta; Pat Donahue, the president of Hartnell’s Board of Trustees; Hartnell alumni and former professional athletes Anthony Toney and Ernie Camacho; vice president of Central Coast Federal Credit Union Bruce Adams; the Teresa family; and current Hartnell student-athletes.

The renovation project begins on Monday with Phase I, which includes a new baseball diamond and softball and soccer fields. The baseball and softball fields will feature state-of-the-art playing surfaces, press boxes, batting cages, bullpens, and fan seating, among other spectator amenities.

The soccer fields will be completely renovated with grass turf, FIFA soccer goals, scoreboards, and a viewing area for fans. The field will be world-class dimensions that will allow for official FIFA games to take place at the college.
