Fall Registration Rally at Hartnell

August 7th, 2008

On Friday and Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Hartnell College is open for business to register students for fall classes in the popular one-stop-shop party called “Registration Rally.”

Faculty, staff, and student groups will be on hand to help students register for classes from morning until night. On Friday, the rally will be at the Student Center on the Main Campus in Salinas, 411 Central Avenue, and on Saturday, the rally moves to the King City Education Center. Both rallies feature live music, radio celebrities, food, prizes, and fun for the whole family.

Fall classes at Hartnell begin August 18.

Registration Rally is a new approach to registering for classes. It is a convenient way to become a student, with everything anyone would need to sign up for classes, apply for financial aid, learn about academic assistance programs, get advice from an academic adviser, take assessment tests, buy books and supplies, get library privileges, and buy parking permits. Bilingual services will be available.

It is also a party, suitable for the entire family. There will be DJs from the area’s finest radio stations, musical and dance groups, student clubs, food, family activities and games, and door prizes.

“Hartnell is really transforming into a very student-centered college. We have been making it much easier for everyone-especially newcomers who have never found it convenient to take a class before-to get their questions answered and sign up for classes, says Director of Student Enrollment Mary Dominguez.
