Congratulations to our Hartnell College students, Oscar Ramirez-Perez, Jonah Sale, Selina Espinoza, Jacqueline Cruz, Denise Sanchez, and Maria Lopez for presenting their psychological research, at the American Psychological Association Annual Convention on August 11, 2018 in San Francisco, CA. Recognition also goes to Lester Cayabyab who contributed to the research, but was not able to attend the convention. Students were mentored by Psi Beta Co-Advisors, Alicia Edelen and Dr. Yoshiko Matsushita-Arao.

Hartnell students Denise Sanchez, Oscar Ramirez-Perez, Selina Espinoza, & Xochitl Avila won sixth place in the nation for their research paper, "What’s in a Name? A Partial Replication Study of Predictive Power of Personalities vs. Situational Labels in Game Moves,"  Denise Sanchez accepted the Anastasi Research Paper National Award and the $100 check at the APA Convention on Saturday.  We offer congratulations to these students for representing Hartnell College with outstanding scholarly work, professionalism, and enthusiasm for research in psychology!
