Welcome to Hartnell College Registration Events Page. We have written this page to help you through the registration process.

1. Identify what student type you are (New, Returning, Concurrent Enrollment, etc.) so that you can see which category you fall under for registration.

2. Now, based on your student type, you will find the individual STEPS TO ENROLL.

Simply click on the Registration title for your student type below and you will be taken to the registration dates and steps to enroll page for your student type.

Spring 2012 Semester Registration Events	Dates
EOPS, DSPS & Veteran Student Registration *	October 31, 2011
Student Athletes, TRIO Registration *	November 1, 2011
Continuing Students Registration *	November 2 – 8, 2011
OPEN REGISTRATION – ALL STUDENTS (EXCEPT K-12) * New, New Transfer, Returning or Returning Transfer student Application/Registration	November 9, 2011
Students who registered from Oct 31, 2011 – January 5, 2012 must pay their fees by this day or they will be dropped.	January 5, 2012
Students who register after January 5, 2012 will need to pay their enrollment fees within 24 hours, otherwise your Spring classes will be dropped for non-payment.	January 6 – January 21, 2012
Concurrent Enrollment Application/Registration (K-12) Students *	January 17, 2012
Last day to register before classes begins	January 21 at 12:00 noon
Spring 2012 Semester Begins	January 23, 2012
Add/Drop Period	January 23 – February 4, 2012
Last Day to Register/Add full-semester courses	February 4, 2012
Last Day to Drop a full-semester course for a refund	February 4, 2012
Students may register on their registration day or any day after their registration prioity appointment through Saturday, January 21st* at 12:00 noon by Web, Telephone, or In-Person Registration.

Saturday January 21, 2012 is the last day to complete Late Registration for Spring 2012 classes.

NEW: Student Fee Collection Policy for Spring 2012
To avoid being dropped from your Spring classes
Students who register between October 31, 2011 – January 5, 2012 must pay their enrollment/ tuition fees by Thursday January 5, 2012.

Financial Assistance

Those requiring financial assistance should register for financial aid early! If you are a financial aid student or need financial assistance, stop by the Financial Aid Office. To ensure that your financial aid will be processed by the January 5, 2012 deadline, you must submit one of the two documents listed below:

You must complete and submit your 2011-2012 FAFSA electronically before December 16, 2011, or

You must submit your paper BOGW fee waiver to the Financial Aid Office before January 3, 2012.

If you are a Veteran (VA) Student, you must see the VA Representative, Jessica Tovar, to get a Temporary Authorization for Payment Form. The Temporary Authorization for Payment Form must be submitted to Hartnell’s Veteran’s Office by Friday December 16, 2011.

If you are a Department of Rehabilitation Student, you must also submit a voucher from the Department of Rehabilitation to Hartnell’s Cashier’s Office by Friday December 16, 2011.

Who May Attend
Admission is open to anyone who is:

18 years old or older, or

A high school graduate or equivalent (GED) test or the California High School Proficiency Exam, or

Students currently enrolled in the K-12 system with a completed Concurrent Enrollment Petition

How to Apply
New, New Transfer, Returning or Returning Transfer students: Applications are being accepted generally three months before the semester begins through the first week of school for full semester courses. Registration appointments will be issued at the time of submission of your Hartnell College Application for Admission. The earlier your Application for Admission is submitted, the earlier your priority registration appointment will be. Applications for short-term/late start classes may be submitted up to the first class meeting. Classes fill quickly so apply early.

Applications for Admissions can be submitted on-line at http://www.hartnell.edu/admissions/jump.html or can also be obtained in-person from the three various Admissions Offices at our three site locations. Completed applications can be returned by mail or in-person to the Admissions & Records Office on main campus, or to the King City Education Center, or to Hartnell's Alisal Campus facility for processing.

Residency
For purposes of establishing tuition fees students are identified as either residents or non-residents. Click here for the Residency Policy.
