Admissions Policies
Non-discrimination Statement
Hartnell College Child Development Centers do not discriminate on the basis sexual orientation, gender, ethnic group identification, race, ancestry, national origin, religion, color or mental or physical disability in determining which children are served and in its policies, procedures or practices.
Children with special needs are welcome and reasonable accomodations are made for such children.
Toilet Training Requirement
Children must be completely toilet trained prior to admission. This means no pull-ups or diapers. Children must be able to handle all their toileting needs without adult assistance.
Age Eligibility
A child must be at least three years of age on or before December 2nd of the program year, and cannot have reached his/her sixth birthday on or before December 2nd of the program year.
Volunteer Requirement
A parent or other responsible adult of children enrolled in the preschool program shall enroll in the Hartnell course, ECE 200: Parent Enrichment, which requires a minimum contribution of 12 hours of volunteer service each semester.
