Why Distance Learning Distance learning allows you to learn whenever and wherever it is convenient for you. You have the flexibility of taking Hartnell College courses without coming to campus on a regular basis. You can participate in our online classes anywhere you have access to a computer and the Internet. Our online courses provide the same quality of instruction and cover the same material as Hartnell’s on-campus courses while allowing you flexibility in your schedule.
Scheduling
Some of our distance learning courses require attendance at an orientation or a few on-campus sessions during the semester. Students do the majority of course work through computer and Internet interactions. For other courses, students are not required to attend any on-campus sessions. Although students learn at a distance from others, they are all connected to their instructors, fellow students, and campus services via the internet, email, and telephone. Online Degree Programs
