Distance learning allows you to learn whenever and wherever it is convenient for you. You have the flexibility of taking Hartnell College courses without coming to campus on a regular basis. You can participate in our online classes anywhere you have access to a computer and the Internet. Our online courses provide the same quality of instruction and cover the same material as Hartnell’s on-campus courses while allowing you flexibility in your schedule.
Some of our distance learning courses require attendance at an orientation or a few on-campus sessions during the semester. Students do the majority of course work through computer and Internet interactions. For other courses, students are not required to attend any on-campus sessions. Although students learn at a distance from others, they are all connected to their instructors, fellow students, and campus services via the internet, email, and telephone.
