Project Development Services
Consultation
Consulting with an Instructional Technologist prior to embarking on your project will often save time and give you options for you plan. The process can begin with a phone call in which we can access the needs and make a plan.

Audio/Video Production
The FRC offers recording devices for use in the recording of narrations for PowerPoint and other multi-media projects. The FRC now has an audio/video editing stations.

DVD/CD-ROM Burning & Testing
CD-ROMs have long been the standard for external storage. We will be happy to walk you through the process of burning a CD-ROM.

Flash Drive (also known as thumb drive)
Want to learn how to use one? Already have one, and want to use it across campus? The FRC can help.

Digital Photography
Digital Photography is quick and easy. The FRC will show you have to save your image files using Photoshop. In addition, you can learn how to insert you images in PowerPoint, Word and your web page.

Flatbed, feeder, 35mm Slide, & OCR Scanning
Scanning of media such as photos, slides and text mages or text can aid to your projects. The FRC has tthree scanners with transparency adapters. Bring in your scanning project and we will teach you how to scan, edit and save. There is also a new Nikon scanner made just for slides.

Microsoft Office Applications
Training and consultation is available for beginning and advanced features using Microsoft Office software applications such as; Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Video Production
Video production services are available ONLY to capture material for use in the production of computer-based materials used in education. Services for video taping of guest lecturers and special seminars should be referred to Audio Visual Services. The FRC currently does not have a digital video recorder however; you can bring in your digital video footage for capturing and editing using Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premire. Some limited support is available for converting video(vhs) to digital format and some DVD editing. (call to discuss what is possible and let's make an appointment)

Web Page Design
The FRC provides training in the use of software to produce web pages and "how to" procedures for uploading your webpage to the server.

Materials and Supplies
The Faculty Resource Center has a wide variety of training materials from various workshops and classes given as well as instructional "how-to" guides. The FRC also keeps reference library and trade periodicals that are available to staff and faculty. These materials are available upon request. Depending on the project goals of you specific project you may need to bring necessary materials. Faculty and staff are encouraged to purchase their own writable CD's and transparency sheets or high-gloss paper for photographic quality printing. Large Reproduction jobs need to be sent to the Reprographics Department.
