COMMON ELEMENT SYMBOLS PRACTICE

This practice set contains the most common elements. Learn them first. The page might take a few extra seconds to load, please be patient.

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Click "Next Question" to begin. If you stop in the middle, you can come back and enter a number in the "Problem #" blank; clicking "Next Question" will take you to the next question.
  2. In the second column, enter the symbol for the element named in the first column.
  3. Click "Check Answer", and "CORRECT!" or "Try Again." will appear in the third column. If "Try again." appears, change your answer and click "Check Answer" again to see if you've corrected the answer.
  4. If you get stumped, click "Show Answer", and the answer will appear in the rightmost column.
  5. Click "Next Question" when you've checked and given the correct answer.

The format is one element at a time because all at once takes a long time to load. If there is demand, the other version can be posted.
