Using Art for Sensory Exploration
Explore a variety of creative activities that promote bonding,
language development and emotional expression while having fun with
your children. We will experience sensory play that is calming for

SB500 consists of 18 hours of training offered for whole foster family homes. Each session is
three -hours and all six sessions should be taken as a series.

TEAM-Basic Training 2009 -- 2010
These 8 three-hour sessions provide basic information and meet the county’s
pre-service licensing requirement for prospective resource families (foster and
adoptive parents). Issues involving the court process, concurrent planning, family
to family care, and behavior management will be explored.

These 4 three-hour sessions offer instruction regarding specialized needs of caring for
children born drug-exposed or with drug/alcohol issues in their family of origin.

Coffee Connection -
A social networking and educational training held throughout the year for caregivers and county staff. Topics for these trainings are discussed by the caregivers prior each training.
These trainings will be held on the following dates in Salinas:

All of the above trainings will be held at the Quadrangle, 1000 S. Main Street, Room 110. The time is
10:00 - 12:00. Childcare will be provided and Spanish translation available.
