Cargivers will enjoy a morning full of training information on the Family to Family Program in Monterey County.  Youth will participate in a variety of workshops.

First Aid & CPR Training for Foster Parents

Location: Hartnell College, Rooms TBA

This training will fulfill your license requirement for

CPR and will not expire for two years.

There is no cost to attend.

SB500 Training 2008 – 2009

SB500 consists of 18 hours of training offered for whole foster family homes. Each session is
three -hours and all six sessions should be taken as a series.

SPARK
(Successfully Parenting At Risk Kids)

These 4 three-hour sessions offer instruction regarding specialized needs of caring for children
born drug-exposed or with drug/alcohol issues in their family of origin. Class meets in-service
state license requirements for foster and adoptive caregivers.

These 3-hour class sessions meet monthly and are offered for foster and relative/near-kin caregivers.
Topics of discussion include but are not limited to the emotional and behavioral challenges in parenting.
Peer support and expert training is a highlight of these meetings.
