King Center Education Center Main Building
Welcome to the King City Education Center!

King City Education Center, Hartnell College's off-site location in South County, is assisting students achieve their educational goals. This facility is a 2-story building with 6 classrooms, including a computer lab, learning skills lab, and a distance learning classroom.

Our hours of business during semester:
Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and
Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

We offer classes in the following subjects:
administration of justice, anthropology, art history, astronomy, biology, business, computer science and information systems, early childhood education, economics, English, English as a second language, history, mathematics, music, photography, political science, psychology, Spanish, speech, and much more!

We also provide classes at several off-site locations in South County, including:
-King City Child Development Center
-King City Migrant Child Development Center
-Greenfield High School
-Soledad High School
-Soledad Migrant EOC

Student Services:
As our center continues to grow, we are committed to expanding our services. Our goal is to be a one-stop center.

Counseling
Students can make appointments to visit one of our counselors who are available for educational plans, unofficial transcripts, pre-requisite clearances, authorizing excess units, and counsel students about Hartnell courses and programs and transferring.

Registration
Students may add or drop classes, process reinstatement petitions, and pick up their class schedules.

Other Services
We also provide enrollment verifications, official transcript requests, graduation petitions, information changes, and concurrent enrollments (K-12 students).

Cashiering Services
Students can pay for their classes, purchase parking permits for main campus, and remove their business holds. Refund petitions can also be picked up here.

Financial Aid
We have a financial aid technician to assist students with the FAFSA, Board of Governors Fee Waiver, and other questions about the financial aid process.

Library
Library staff is available on a part-time basis. Hartnell library cards can be obtained, and books can be brought from the main campus library for students to check out. During library hours, students can also receive research assistance and use the library's many resources.

STAAR Testing
The STAAR test is a placement test to determine the appropriate level of English, ESL and math for students. Call (831) 386- 7100 for the STAAR schedule. STAAR results can be checked at our center.
