Using a word processing program, create a file containing your name and then list your answers to the following questions. Upload your file to this week's e-College drop box.

Access the Hartnell Library web page at http://www.hartnell.edu/library, then click the links to open the requested databases for each question:

If you are accessing the library databases from off campus, you will be prompted to enter your Hartnell College Cat Card number.    1. Open GaleNet Databases. Go to the Literature Resource Center. Look up Marilyn Chin. List the author and title of one article of literary criticism discussing her work.
   2. While still in the Literature Resource Center, click the Gale Databases link on the top of the page. Select Scribner Writers Series. Click the Writers A-Z link, then scroll to find Gary Soto. Click and follow that link. Read the entry you find, then answer these questions:
      1. What is the name of the town in California where he grew up?
      What is the title of one book Gary Soto wrote for young adults?
      What is the name of the college where Gary enrolled in writing classes?
   3. Return to the Hartnell Library home page and open Book Index With Reviews. Search for a book by Gary Soto. List the title and publication date.
