Yoga for Your Health
Yoga is a system of slow motion stretches, breathing exercises,
and relaxation techniques that achieve physical and mental fitness.
Students of all ages and physical conditions exercise without
strain and progress at their own pace. Deep breathing, holds,
and concentration are used with the exercises to promote
flexibility, stretch muscles and tendons, and aid in the function
of internal organs.
Bring a yoga mat and dress comfortably.
This class is taught at the Yoga High Studio,
located at 44 Plaza Circle
( Star Market Center ) in Salinas .
Mae Woodward received her hatha yoga certification from the
Yoga Center of Carmel and
is the owner of her own yoga studio in Salinas .

Intro to Pilates
Our new beginner Pilates Method program is based on the teachings
of Joseph Pilates. This mat class emphasizes precise full-body movements
originating from the body's core to create strength, flexibility, alignment,
and awareness. By focusing on your core muscles, you build lean muscle
that burns calories more efficiently.
This course is appropriate for all experience levels.
