Physical Education



Collage of Physical Education Activities


The curriculum offers classes where students can develop and improve skills in such sports as basketball, tennis, swimming, golf, softball, volleyball, wall climbing and self-defense. Physical Education also offers courses that meet lower division major requirements in the transfer process such as Leadership Organization of Physical Education Activities and Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries.

The Physical Education Division offers courses through the Adaptive Physical Education curriculum designed especially for students who are limited as a result of physical, psychological, or learning disorders or recovering from some catastrophic health issues such as a heart attack, joint replacement surgery, back surgery, etc. Activities in the APE program provides instruction in coordination with the recommendations of the students' health care provider and offer a great deal of flexibility in terms of the scope and range of activities in which students may participate.
