Learning Objectives
What is a Learning Objective?
It is a statement that describes a specific result that you will accomplish at your job by the end of the semester. Objectives should involve learning something new, expanding an existing skill, or general job improvement. How to write the learning objective (s) is covered in the orientation.
Is there an example of a “Learning Objective?”
Objectives should answer these questions:
- What is the task to be completed?
- How will it be accomplished?
- How will it be measure/evaluated/rated and by whom?
- When will it be completed?
Example Answers:
- To learn the new software system at my work.
- To be accomplished by receiving training from my supervisor and studying the software documentation.
- To be measured and evaluated by my supervisor in a review of my work accuracy while I am using the system.
- To be completed by the end of the current semester (date here)
