Welcome to the Hartnell College EOPS/CARE program homepage!

The Hartnell College Office of Extended Opportunity Program and Services (EOPS) provides support services to first generation, low income, under-represented college students; furthermore, the Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE) program provides additional support services to EOPS single-parent students receiving public assistance and have at least one child under the age of 14. The EOPS/CARE staff advocates for students and is committed to helping them successfully achieve their educational goals.

SEPTEMBER

• September 10- Last day for all EOPS/CARE students to use their Book Credit.
• September 25- Deadline to complete 1st contact.

NOVEMBER

• November 6- Deadline to complete 2nd contact.

DECEMBER

• December 18- Deadline to complete 3rd contact.

 

*REMINDER:The priority filing period for your 2009-2010 FAFSA Cal Grant application is between January 1st and March 2nd.

NEED computer access to complete your FAFSA on-line? Financial Aid staff is available in the Financial Aid Office computer room on Mondays-Thursdays from 8- 5pm, and Fridays from 9-5 pm. For special accomodations you can make an appointment at the Financial Aid Office, or by calling 755-6806.

CONTINUING STUDENTS...
REMEMBER TO RENEW YOUR FAFSA APPLICATION BEFORE THE FALL SEMESTER BEGINS. DOING SO WILL ENSURE YOU CONTINUE IN THE EOPS PROGRAM. Have you updated your email address with the EOPS office? If not, please stop by or contact the office to do so. We will be sending news, updates, and important information via email to EOPS and CARE students regularly.

If you are not returning to the EOPS program for various reasons (exited from the program, moved, completed your degree) please take a few minutes to complete the attached survey. Please return the survey to the EOPS office. We appreciate your feedback!!

ONLINE/DISTANCE EDUCATION STUDENTS The Hartnell College EOPS/CARE program is not set up to services Internet-based, Distance Education students who live outside the Hartnell College Services area. To receive services, you must physically live within the Hartnell College service area.
