EOPS - Extended Opportunity Program & Services
Welcome!
The EOPS/CARE staff welcomes you to our program. We are here to help you have an enjoyable and successful time as Hartnell students.
As part of EOPS, students at Hartnell College can receive academic counseling, educational planning, priority registration, personal success workshops, transfer services and grants to stay in school. Our goal is to offer services above and beyond the general student services on campus.
In addition to EOPS services, CARE (Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education) provides extra support to single parents on TANF (Temporary Aid to Needy Families, formerly AFDC) to succeed in college. Examples of services provided are assistance with cafeteria meals, counseling, grants, transportation, and general support.
Our focus is to serve first generation, low income, under-represented college students. We want to make school a reality, keep students in school and help students reach their goal. Here at Hartnell College, we do our best to help you succeed in school.
